Appointments System

It is always better to visit the surgery to be seen. We have all of the facilities may be needed and we can help more patients if doctors can spend less time travelling.

To make an appointment telephone the surgery when we are open (see opening times). When we are closed, our ‘phone will always have a message with details of how to contact us.

Routine Appointments

Routine appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. Book on the day appointments are released on a daily basis. All doctor’s offer a call back service and will try to deal with your request over the telephone if possible at the end of their surgery. All emergencies are seen on the same day, if you feel it is a medical emergency then you will be offered an appointment to see the Duty Doctor. We offer early pre-bookable appointments 8.00am five days of the week

Please note that there will be times when you cannot book an appointment in advance.  This will be before and after Bank Holidays when all appointments will be available to book on the day only.  This is due to the high volume of patients needing an appointment around the Bank Holiday period and helps us to accommodate them.

Extended Access - Evening & Weekend Appointments

Great Park Medical Group can offer evening and weekend face to face GP, Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments from College Green Hub.

Review of Appointment System

We continually review our appointment system to see how we can best offer a spread of appointments to our patients. We have some appointments that are available to book 4 weeks in advance, some 48 hours in advance and some that are available to book on the day.

There are a fixed number of appointments in each category so please be aware that you might not get an appointment with the doctor of your choice.

We continue to offer a duty doctor who will see medical emergencies as necessary on the day.  If you have a medical emergency we will always deal with your problem, although you may need to speak to a doctor on the telephone before you are seen.

Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
